Care information is general guidance

Articles, species profiles, and guides on Appsbarn describe how Lithops typically behave in cultivation. They are not a substitute for hands-on judgment. Outcomes vary widely with climate, indoor humidity, pot depth, soil mix, water chemistry, light intensity, and even how a plant was grown before you received it. Treat any number on this site — temperature ranges, watering windows, repotting frequency — as a starting point, not a guarantee.

We do not sell plants

Appsbarn is an editorial and reference site. We do not run a nursery, do not ship plants, and do not process transactions. When you're ready to buy a Lithops, please use a reputable, legal nursery in your own country.

CITES and legal sourcing

The entire genus Lithops is listed on CITES Appendix II. This means international trade in wild-collected specimens is regulated, and importing wild plants across borders without the correct paperwork is illegal. Nursery-propagated Lithops are legal and widely available — please support nurseries that propagate their stock and do not collect from the wild.

No professional advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes medical, legal, financial, or professional horticultural advice. If you grow Lithops commercially or have a regulated import question, consult a qualified professional or your national CITES authority.

Affiliate and advertising disclosure

The Site displays advertising (including Google AdSense). We may, in the future, participate in affiliate programs for books, soil components, or growing tools — if we do, any affiliate link will be clearly disclosed. Advertising does not influence the editorial content of species profiles or guides.
