About
Living in Cape Town means a few hours' drive in any direction puts me in real Lithops country. I've spent enough time in the Richtersveld and the Karas Mountains to recognize most of the regional populations on sight, and I bring that field perspective to the directory.
What you read here from me is the gap between what books say a species looks like and what the actual plants look like in habitat. They are often different in informative ways.
